At Advanced Well-Being, the safety of young people and staff is our top priority. Many of the young people we support have complex needs, so our safeguarding practices are designed to keep everyone safe while fostering a positive environment.
Here’s how we ensure strong safeguarding measures:
- Regular Policy Updates: We review and update our safeguarding policies and procedures frequently to stay current and effective.
- Ongoing Staff Training: Our team receives regular training on child protection, managing behavior, and understanding safeguarding protocols.
- Dedicated Head of Safeguarding: Our designated safeguarding lead works closely with Local Authority Designated Officers (LADOs) and other safeguarding partners.
- Cause for Concern Process: We identify and monitor young people at greatest risk, implementing tailored plans to manage those risks.
- Robust Risk Assessments: Every young person undergoes a thorough risk assessment to ensure their needs are met safely.
- Learning from Case Reviews: When incidents occur, we conduct reviews to improve practices and prevent future issues.
- Collaborative Approach: We work closely with police, youth offending services (YOS), CAMHS, social workers, and personal advisors (PAs).
- CCTV Monitoring: To enhance safety, we use CCTV in and around our homes where necessary.
- Referral Risk Assessments: We carefully assess risks during the referral process to ensure the best fit for shared accommodations.
