Who We Support

We help young people aged 16–18 years who need a safe and nurturing environment to develop their independence. They may need our services because of:

  • Risk of homelessness
  • Experiences of abuse (emotional, physical, or sexual)
  • Traumatic events
  • Criminal or sexual exploitation
  • Mental health challenges
  • Substance misuse
  • Emotional or behavioral issues
  • Being an unaccompanied child seeking asylum

Accommodation

Advanced Well-Being provides both shared and solo supported accommodation. Our homes are located in quiet, residential areas across Greater London, the Home Counties, and Milton Keynes.

  • Shared homes accommodate up to six young people.
  • Solo homes are available for those with higher support needs.
  • Many bedrooms come with en-suite facilities.
  • Homes are near local shops, public transport, community services, and colleges.

Staffing and Expertise

Our homes are staffed 24/7 by a skilled and caring team.

  • All staff go through strict recruitment procedures, receive a full induction, mandatory training, and regular supervision.
  • Home Managers have at least 2 years of experience and hold (or are working towards) NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Health and Social Care.
  • Operations Managers are required to have (or study for) NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
  • Our Director of Operations is a registered social worker with an MSc in Health and Social Care Management.

We are proud of our team’s knowledge, experience, and dedication to supporting young people.

UASC Support

We understand the unique needs of Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC). Our enhanced support package includes:

  • Trained staff with expertise in the child’s cultural and language needs.
  • Collaboration with community projects for asylum seekers.
  • Assistance with legal and immigration processes.
  • Support to access healthcare and integrate into the community.
  • Help with cultural and religious needs.
  • COVID self-isolation support when required.

We’ve successfully supported children from countries like Vietnam, Sudan, Afghanistan, Somalia, and Eritrea, among others.

Support Planning

Each young person receives a personalized support plan created with their key worker and professional network. Plans are outcome-focused and cover five key areas:

  1. Be Healthy
  2. Stay Safe
  3. Enjoy and Achieve
  4. Make a Positive Contribution
  5. Economic Well-Being

Our support plans are managed using a specialized database to track progress. Key work sessions are designed to engage young people creatively and help them achieve their goals.
